I like how this is both a sequel and spiritual successor to Lasagna Boy Classic. It's more of a spiritual successor for it's stand alone nature, and a sequel in that this could technically take place after Lasagna Boy Classic no problem. I can totally see John toughened up after his first adventure.
played the full version and I really disappointed by some of the stupid design choices because graphically the game is beautiful but overall the game sucks. Like you only get one before it restarts you at a checkpoint way prior to the boss so like for example I die on the first boss had to go back all the way to the hallway before the boss and kill everything in the hallway and try the boss again. His patterns are just so sporadic and really hard to figure out the precise moment to move out of his way. this pretty much killed the game for me as was not fun at this point and was annoying before this but this just was dumb. also, what is the point of having lasagna as hp if doesn't really act as hp only lives?
waittttt ITS FREE??? for this beautiful game??? what a steal!
Nah, this is a demo. If you want the actual game, you gotta get it on Steam.
But it doesn't exist on steam lol
What are you talking about? It's right here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1590330/Lasagna_Boy/
That's weird. It doesn't exist on the steam app.
for me at least
Can you please fix the controller, It's really irritating. Thanks!
What's irritating about the controller?
I already enjoyed playing the previous version. This 2020 version managed to raise the bar and improve what was already good in the previous version. The lasagna kid is very charismatic. I can't wait for the full version. Congratulations.
nice
Hello,
known issues:
- after death, light animation set but character invisible after respawn animation.
- sound preferences etc. are not saved. Restarting game sets sound to max.
- At the start, introduction infos are not binded to key strokes. It passes after some time.
Non-issue:
-Returning to game menu after pausing the game shows the trashy rascal studios animation again. Combined with fall, it is little annoying.
Note: Will update as I progress.
hi! i just bought the game and when you try to run and jump in the beginning after learning to sprint, if you fall, there is a glitch when you respawn that breaks the game. it happened before any saves so it was kinda sad :(
Yeah, sorry bout that. I looked into it and was able to get it fixed, but it won't be fixed in the current demo at the moment. Thanks for letting me know.
Is there any place we can follow you at or is this the only place we can news from?
I'll be making video updates on this youtube channel if you want to follow there.https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCV8sd7_itDf97yclwFxNaXA
oi mate, are you willing to make a remake of this game but in color and better animations? :
Hey uhh... just to let you know..
Lasagna Boy would make more sense if Gorefield was in it
But you don't have to add him if you don't want to...
Although gorefield is not in the demo, i will go ahead and say that there are plans for a gorefield type boss in the full game :)
Ok. also this. It's a me, a-Gorefield!
ehh don't worry someone will make that eventually (oh my god i need to stop taking on so many projects)
Hello! I'm working on an article on Game Boy horror games for Dread XP! Any chance we can chat about your work on Lasagna Boy? If so, contact me at joel(DOT)indiegames(AT)gmail(DOT)com!
Oh wow, you ninja updated the banner!
This was just a demo, there was no credits sequence. I'll have a shout out to lumpy in the credits as I did in the first game.
It's really good game, the plot is very interesting and the stylevof drawning is very beautiful! I'm really waiting for the full version!

I had so much playing this demo!
Wow! I remember first lasagna boy. Your skill grow very well! Nice job!
Quite the gameboy boogaloo, really liked the demo. I sense bigger dangers in the future, can't wait to see if there are other weapons in addition to the... ;)
This has so much potential to be an awesome adventure puzzle horror. Looking forward to play the full game when it comes out!
Love the flamethrower by the way :D
First game in this video:
This brought me back to them old-school gameboy days!!! I love the platforming, the design, spookiness, EVERYTHING!!! GREAT JOB!!!
That was a very good demo. The aesthetic made me slightly nostalgic for the 8-bit platforms of my youth... ๐.
A few observations:
-The spiral staircases go on for too long. I understand it's to convey a sense that the towers are high up, but ultimately it punishes the player if they have to ascend/descend them multiple times. Maybe the first time you use one of the spiral staircases it's full length as normal and then subsequent passages are reduced in duration somehow.
- After getting the first key there is a long section where you have moving and crumbling platforms. Quite a few of them are almost blind, which results in a lot of needless deaths if you time it wrong. Not difficult to overcome, but it's not satisfying to die because the platform you're jumping to is on the wrong part of its cycle.
- I like the little bonus section at the end, but the boss has way too much health. It's not difficult to beat it, but it is very time consuming.
Anyway, overall, it definitely captures the retro-game spirit. Keep up the good work!
Wow, game looks really awesome, dig the gameboy aesthetic!
